Got a brainstorm reading runner’s world, which said veggie burgers are great for fiber but lack protein. I’ve never ready liked the veggie burger mix from the coopbut have always liked black beans. The black bean burgers I.ve had at restaurants have been disappointing, largely due to the consistency. I had some black beans I’d cooked from scratch so I thought I’d mix them with the veggie burger mix. I added a little water and mashed the beans with a fork. The result was outstanding, and I think they may even hold up on the grill.
