Heard a disturbing podcast on the way to work this morning. It was a recent episode of This American Life featuring an excerpt of a one-man show by a confessed Apple computer lover who went to China to examine working conditions in factories that contract with Apple.
The results were predictable but still chilling: child labor, long hours, toxic chemicals, repetitive motion injuries, lack of unions, crowded dormitories …

Cold morning. Diane left the truck on E, so I followed Cedar and Ele into town. They made it to the gas station. I filled their tank and headed to work. I skipped my walk but may get out at lunch time.
