Robert Reich — right on again (and other media recommendations)

Robert Reich’s column from today’s Huffington Post is about as clear as political writing gets. He takes on seven lies about the economy, from trickle down tax cuts to Social Security.

The Pioneer Press published a story today on the kayaker who died on Mille Lacs last Friday/Saturday.

I listened to Terry Gross’s interview with C. Peter Wagner of the New Apostolic Reformation on the way to work this morning. He was a professor from Fuller Theological Seminary, where my dad had lots of friends. He believes the emperor of Japan had sex with the sun goddess. Literally. But he didn’t seem that dangerous, really.

Yesterday I listened to another brilliant episode of This American Life, The Incredible Case of the PI Moms, about a lifestyle journalist whose story got him caught up in a much larger story involving drugs and police corruption.
