We almost didn’t go. It seemed like a long drive and a lot of trouble, but finally, at about 1 p.m., we took off for Isle, stopped at Rob’s to get the boat, bought a life jacket at Portside, put the boat in at Cedar Creek.
We spent about two hours on the lake, pulling the kids and Diane on the tube (they call it “biscuiting” in New Zealand).
We were home by six, so it was a short trip, but it seemed like a long relaxing day on the water.
It’s good to have a boat. When it’s winter half the year, you have to enjoy summer as much as possible.
It was great out there. Perfectly calm, hot, boats everywhere, but rarely in your line of travel.
And that little boat really goes.
