Saturday

A guy came out to talk to us about alternative energy this morning. Then I went to Onamia to take pictures of the easter bunny, but Bob was already there, so I came home. We went to St. Cloud so Leif and his friend could heelie in the mall and we could shop, then came home and had dinner with Kevin and Deb Anderson. Nice day. Here’s a goofy video we made for the Messenger website. another step toward turning the newspaper into a TV station.

It’s March 22 and there’s still snow on the ground. I’m tired of it. Tomorrow I’m going to run seven miles.

  1. Hey, Brett…We had so much snow in central Wisconsin, several churches canceled Good Friday worship. I was working for the Portage Daily Register that day, and the Catholic Mass that I attended turned out to be the only Good Friday spiritual sustenance I would get. And they’re talking about more of the same for next week — on top of the record-breaking hundred inches that fell on Madison this season. I fully expect to be slogging to the Fourth of July fireworks in snowshoes.

  3. Brett, You are an inspiration to my son who started running last summer and sort of fell off over the winter. Is that a marketing strategy having Rob as the focal point before video?I guess it works! What did he say? Dead mice falling off of a roof. We’ll have to go back and listen again…ha ha

  5. Thanks for the comment, Rae. The 7-mile run turned out to be pretty good, even though it was gray and windy.YouTube picks out the frozen image automatically. I haven’t figured out how to change it, or I’d put someone better looking than Rob on there.Check out the Mess website. We got a cool video of albino deer from Tom Dahlheimer.
