The Onamia mayor, Larry Milton, is a colorful character, and last night he was on a roll. He went off on a tirade about a new library for the town. One of the council members said the people pushing for a library were considering an old building on Main Street. Larry went off. I wish I had it on video or tape because my note-taking could not keep up. He went on and on about the Rolf Olsen Center sitting empty half the time, so why can’t we use that, and the school library empty for three months every year, and the country is going bankrupt because of all that, and who’s gonna pay for it, the city of Onamia? There were a few curse words thrown in, too. Bill Hill, the council member who brought it up, was buried.
